What We Do​

Dove Youth Development (formerly Dove Missions) is a center that offers children different programs and classes in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. We serve 140-160 children between the ages of 6-18 living in seven barrios (neighborhoods) in the poorest parts of Puerto Plata. We provide after-school opportunities for the youth and their families. Youth can learn in engaging ways and share positive experiences within a safe haven at Dove Youth Development Center.

 

Without the help of this program, many of these children, as young as six, would be forced into prostitution, drug dealing, or other illegal activities in order to help financially support their families. Here at Dove Youth Development, we empower our youth to be beacons of light and carriers of change for themselves, and also for their communities. Help become a part of that change.
