Three Ways to Share Christmas Joy with Dove Kids
We love this time of year at Dove. The excitement of Christmas and the joy of giving is in the hearts and actions of all! Join us in sharing abundance and making the world a bit brighter! Here are 3 ways you can participate this week: 1. Family Christmas Dinner food bags We have almost reached our goal of $850 dollars to add items to our monthly food bags that make Christmas dinner special for our families! There is still time to donate this week as we prepare for food basket distribution on December 22nd-23rd.
2. $2000 dollars to host our January 6, Christmas party
Every year our annual Christmas party is celebrated on the Feast of the Epiphany, the day of the Three Kings. It is the day of gift giving in the Dominican Republic. This party is the highlight of our year, celebrating with our partners Small Hands Big Hearts who provide each individual child with a Christmas gift especially selected and purchased to ensure every child at Dove receives a gift! Dove hosts the January 6th party each year and provides a venue where all 145 children at Dove can celebrate together, share a meal, receive a gift from Santa and have fun! We are excited to have newly enrolled students celebrating with Dove for the first time.
3. Give a gift of child sponsorship to family and friends Share the opportunity to change a life! We are enrolling 50 new students in the next few weeks who are in desperate need of a sponsor! For $40 dollars a month/$480 per year you can sponsor a child in honor of your friend or family member! The joy of finally getting a sponsor is a great gift for our children to receive and a touching gesture to give to a loved one, it's a win/win!
